Find your model number

In order for us here a spareforhome.co.uk to successfully order the spare part you require we need to know the correct model number of your appliance. Now this sometimes is not as simple as it appears. The correct appliance information required can be located on a form of plate or sticker located accordingly to the list of appliances as listed below. The model number can consist of either all numerical or a mixture of both alphabetical and numerical.

Refrigeration

In a fridge, or fridge-freezer, the rating plate is usually on the fridge inner walls, often it's hidden at the bottom (to the left side) of the salad compartments and only accessible with the compartments removed. If you can't find it there, it may be on the outside side of the casing or lastly try the back.

Freezers - usually at the very bottom of the inside of the freezer compartment. Again, if it can't be found inside, try the sides and the back.

TIP: Be very careful if moving fridges and freezers, don't forget you can easily rip the flooring so take care.

Cookers and Ovens

Usually behind the main oven door. Check the frame behind the door and if not there check the sides of the door (not forgetting the inside near the hinges). Finally try behind any other doors, the very base of the cooker under the door at the front, and the side panels and back.

Microwaves

Behind the door or on the back.

Hobs

Look underneath the hob, from inside the cupboard or by removing a drawer in the kitchen unit.

Dishwashers

Usually behind the door. Don't forget to check the top edge of the door inside, and all of the sides. If not there, check the base of the dishwasher (kick strip) under the door at the front. With some dishwashers you need to lower the door all the way down, get down on your knees and look at the base of the dishwasher in the area normally obscured by the door. If not there you'll need to check the side panels and the back - be careful not to rip the flooring as dishwashers don't have wheels.

Washing machines/Tumble dryers

Most have the rating plate behind the door, either on the inside of the door (don't forget to check near the hinge) or on the door frame of the cabinet. Some hide it behind the kickplate at the base (front) Be careful if removing the front kickplate on cheap machines as they are often thin and the lugs easily break.

If you still can't find it, check behind the pump filter flap or door (if fitted) at the front.of the machine. Other than that you would need to check the sides and back of the machine.
